Samson G. Yu, Managing Partner of Kangxin Partners, P.C. is appointed as Guest Professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University Law School in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the Practice and Research of Law.
Mr. Yu obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Dalian Maritime University in 1982, and his International Executive Master of Business Administration from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
Mr. Yu joined Kangxin Partners, P.C. in 1998 and was promoted to Managing Partner in 2001, his background and extensive experience in IP law has distinguished him as one of the leading experts in the IP industry.
Mr. Yu began his IP career in 1984 as a patent attorney with the CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office, eventually serving as Deputy Director of its German office. In 1990, he joined a U.S. IP firm in Silicon Valley as a patent agent. In 1995, Mr. Yu returned to Beijing and established The Law Offices of Jiahe as a Founding Partner.
At Kangxin, Mr. Yu currently practices all aspects of Intellectual Property Law, specializing in patent and trademark prosecution, due diligence, and client counseling. He has successfully litigated numerous IP disputes involving patent and trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Mr. Yu has been named Asialaw Leading Lawyer by Asia Law & Practice four times since 2006. He was also recognized as Leading Patent Attorney by the Beijing Intellectual Property Office in 2006. In 2008 and 2009, Mr. Yu received nominations in Band 1 of Leading Individuals in Chinese IP field by Chambers and Partners. In December 2009, Mr. Yu was appointed as Guest Professor by Beijing Foreign Studies University Law School in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the Practice and Research of Law.
In addition to being acknowledged as one of the top experts in the IP industry, Mr. Yu also serves as an international renowned guest lecturer, advisor, and published author in Intellectual Property law.
